How do I open an account with you?

You can visit us in person on any day of the week, reserve a safe deposit box online or call us to make an appointment.

We need to see valid photographic proof of your identity (for example, a passport) and proof of your address (for example, bank statements or utility bills). If you are not an EU citizen, we also need proof that your presence in the UK complies with Home Office guidelines.

You can usually use your box as soon as we have appropriate identification and a contract has been signed.

Whilst in most instances Metropolitan Safe Deposits can open an account immediately, we reserve the right to decline to open an account due to our internal processes without further explanation.
